David Boggs is a professional roofing contractor with affordable roofing.

Here are his  three keys to avoid being scammed by fly by night contractors called “storm chasers.”

1. Check their certificates of Insurance make sure it is a valid certificate with both general liability and workers compensation. This step alone will prevent you from doing business with someone who is not a legitimate company. It is a state law for a roofing contractor to carry workers compensation Insurance.

2. Check their references find someone in your neighborhood that they’ve installed a roof for somebody that you know. Get phone numbers Call and talk to other customer’s and get their experience base. Make sure they did a good job. Make sure that the estimate, proposal, and contract are in writing because in most states a verbal contract is no good. Make them put it in writing.

3. Never give contractor money up front. Any contractor that’s reputable should be able to install your roof without charging you a deposit. They should have the cash flow available, funds necessary, or credit available to be able to install your roof without a down payment. Make an agreement with them that you will pay them upon satisfactory completion of the job.

If you will do these three simple steps you won’t have to be a news story. You won’t have to be another victim. You will be in control and you will prevent your home and your finances from being scammed. There’s a lot of shady roofing contractors out there but there’s also some good contractors. If you’ll use these three simple steps you’ll save yourself a lot of heartache. At the end of the day you’ll be able to get a job well done at a price you’re happy with.

THIS WAS COPIED DIRECTLY FROM DAVID BOGG'S WEBSITE

An article came to my attention today that was written back I believe in the year 2009 maybe 2008. Its entitled Pentecostal preacher faces unhappy roofing customers I want to deal with that briefly this morning and give the rest of the story if you will. I have installed 16000 roofs. Statistically 3 out of every 100 roofs will have a little bit of trouble. This problem could be anything from a leak to a problem with the installation such as something getting broken. We do everything possible to make the homeowner happy. I this line of business when you’re dealing with someone’s home and their roof it’s nearly impossible to please everyone though that would be our ultimate goal. At the end of the day the protection the homeowner has is that they do not pay us until the job is finished. Sometimes the media will paint a picture that the contactor is always scamming the homeowner. We have always had the Policy of not being paid until the job is finished so that it is to our advantage the customer is happy.

These articles came about through a journalist at the courier journal getting in contact with a disgruntled church member. This church member had been a part of the church for a long time and had witnessed the church grow from 64 members to over 3500 members in a period of five years.  In essence, the church outgrew them. In that period of time we saw over 12,000 people make a decision to make Jesus Christ their personal lord and savior. I don’t apologize for that. People get upset when God moves. I’m not gonna blame in on the devil because I made a lot of mistakes.  I never pastored before, I didn’t have any experience. We made some extraordinary measures to reach lost people. This upset people.

I also happened to be a success businesses owner. In 2004-2005 we did over 40 million dollars in sales. Were there unhappy customers along the way? Sure but we have done everything possible to make them happy. Some of the people mentioned in this article sent us a letter confirming that the work was finished to their satisfaction. If you know of an unhappy customer, please, have them get in touch with me.

At the end of the day I just want to let you know my side of the story. This is John David Boggs and I love to help people

If you search around, you will find a few articles about former Pastor John David Boggs.  Many of these are negative about his failure as a minister. There is an article written about this entitled former pastor arrested in child custody case. He addresses this issue so that you can have the rest of the story. Not just an article from a random person on the internet.

The headline itself is misleading. At the time of his arrest, he was separated, not legally but emotionally. There was a disagreement that led to a legal battle. Some legal language was utilized causing a great mistake to be made leading to his arrest. Remember, there was no child custody case. Nor had divorce been filed for at this time. The information that was presented by the media was wrong. David Boggs was offered an agreement that said if he would agree not to take legal action against the county of the sheriff’s office; the case would simply be dismissed. David declined this offer because he felt he had done nothing wrong. At the end of the day David Boggs was acquitted and all charges were dismissed.

Divorce is so painful by itself, but when the news media gets involved everything is lived out in front of everyone. The disappointing thing is that the day the charges were dropped, the media never did a follow-up story. It’s now been several years, and many people still have a warped idea that David Boggs is a convicted felon that did harm to his kids.

Have you ever failed? Sure we let God down. Sure our failures break the heart of God, but in the word he says his anger is just for a moment.  it says his favor lasts for a lifetime. When God puts his favor on you he doesn’t take it away and  you should understand you can walk in divine favor. The Bible says that his favor will surround us like a shield. What an incredible promise. That as children of God there is no requirement for having to live perfect. Though we should strive to live holy and righteous before God,know that His favor is for a lifetime. When the favor of God is on your life it makes your enemies tremble.

The Bible even says sit still and He will make your enemies your footstool. He says that the weeping may endure for a night. Have you ever gone through something? Have you ever had a family member, relative, friend, or loved one at the hospital and the Doctor said if they can make it through the night they will be alright. Midnight is a time when sickness is at its greatest. That pain and suffering is at its worst. The Bible says that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Here’s where this passage of scripture gets really good. The word joy goes beyond laughter, enthusiasm or excitement. The word joy in Hebrew comes from a word which means great victory. If you make God mad it’s just for a moment. Your favor is not cancelled by your mistake. Not only that but you may have to struggle through the middle of the night but if you can hang on the Bible says that after you have suffered for a while your thought shall be established. Then it says that Joy is coming in the morning. Not just joy but great victory is coming in the morning. the Bible says that weeping may endure for the night but great victory is coming in the morning.

Don’t throw in the towel just yet Don’t give up just yet you’ve got a promise in the word of God and God has not revoked his promise concerning you. so walk out of here declare that you’ve got favor. that you’re gonna get through this storm and great victory is coming to your life. in this month of thanksgiving, you are going to have the greatest victories you’ve ever had. its okay to call it a setback because setbacks produce comebacks.
